Li Hong Yuan silently contemplated. This kind of thing, it’s not like no one has done before. For the sake of achieving their goal, people were able to do anything, and not just the imperial family, even the high officials and nobles, as well as ordinary commoners. There were too many similar cases, the methods many and varied, but the final outcome was merely different means to achieve the same end. Just, compared to what might be used on the Imperial Noble Consort, those truly were too small to look at. Those largest scale ones were also nothing more than altering a person’s predestined fate, regardless whether it’s certain newly born children, or certain ambitious women that want to enter the imperial family. Otherwise, it was just for wanting or not wanting to do something at certain times.

These all won’t involve the common people of the world! That’s why, he momentarily didn’t think of this.

But, this matter indeed had workable space. Once it succeeds, the results will indeed be very good.

“How to specifically handle, does Wan Wan have any suggestions?”

“To suddenly spread out the Imperial Noble Consort’s matter without a reason ultimately isn’t appropriate. How about this…………” Jing Wan had her own thoughts explained one by one. Of course, because it was a last minute idea, she could only give an outline. However, Jing Wan believed, for this matter, as long as there was an outline, or even just a concept, a certain someone certainly will be able to perfect, and afterwards, carry out without leaving behind any troubles as much as possible.

Li Hong Yuan quietly listened. At this time, he was just a qualifying listener.

Once Jing Wan finished, Li Hong Yuan had her taken into his arms, “Wan Wan, thank you.”

Jing Wan lifted her head to look at him, her eyes glistening, as she suddenly kissed his chin. It was slightly cold.

“Between you and I, is there even a need to say thanks? I merely just moved my mouth. Besides, this matter still need for you to handle.”

“For other things, naturally no need for this, but for this matter, it’s nevertheless needed.”

“Alright, alright, I accept.” Jing Wan very indifferently said, “Actually, that is your mother, and also my mother-in-law, no?” In other words, she was also their family, so there really was no need to be that mindful.

“Wan Wan just needs to listen to me.” A certain someone said rather boldly.

“Yes, yes, yes.” For this kind of trivial matter, there was no need to bicker with him.

“Wait here for a bit, I’m going to look for Grandmaster Liao Chen again. Afterwards, we’ll just return to the capital? Or perhaps Wan Wan wants to stay for two more days?”

“It’s better to return to the capital, this matter is more important.” It goes without saying that this matter should be very important.

“Thing still need to be prepared, and it’s not that easy to accomplish. Never mind staying for a day or two, even ten days to half a month all won’t be a problem.” The matter was too big. The setup in the early stages can’t have any mishaps, and the work that needs to be done certainly can’t be completed in a day or two.

“I know, but if we stay in the White Dragon Temple, then later, when the matter ‘occurs’, it’s hard to guarantee that others won’t have the two matters connected. Perhaps it won’t be difficult to deal with, but if able to save some troubles, then it’s better this way.”

“The White Dragon Temple’s winter scenery can’t be viewed in a short period of time. To just leave like this, won’t Wan Wan feel regretful?”

Jing Wan lightly smiled, “I plan to hold hands with Ah Yuan until old age, so there’s still countless winters to come, and plenty of opportunities.”

These words, Li Hong Yuan without a doubt very much loved hearing.

Li Hong Yuan went to look for Grandmaster Liao Chen. After all, for this matter to succeed, they still needed Grandmaster Liao Chen’s help, or perhaps should say, he was an in dispensable link. With him, even if not saying a single word, people will just be able to fill in countless blanks on their own. Just, as an enlightened high monk, a sage beyond mortal affairs. Letting him participate in this kind of big play, deceiving the people of the world, in theory, was impossible. But, if such harmless lies can save countless of people’s lives, believe Grandmaster Liao Chen won’t refuse. When it comes to harboring the world in the heart, there was probably no one that was able to compare with someone like him. Even the one sitting on the throne all couldn’t compare.

At the same time, Jing Wan’s side also began preparing the return trip.

Clearly they’d just settled down, but the people below won’t have any complaints, and further won’t dare to have complaints.

Weighing the pros and cons, Grandmaster Liao Chen agreed rather straightforwardly. When they were leaving, Grandmaster Liao Chen even personally saw them off. Towards Jing Wan, he carried an amiable expression, saying some words that one was able to understand separately, but unable to understand when put together. Just, from the ins and outs of those words, Grandmaster Liao Chen seemingly was very grateful towards her. Jing Wan felt a bit stupefied, completely not knowing what exactly happened. She turned her head to look towards Li Hong Yuan, yet Li Hong Yuan this while completely didn’t cooperate, not even giving a hint.

Jing Wan just this blankly got taken onto the horse carriage, having an extra jade pearl in hand, and a seemingly very plain string stringing onto the jade pearl, simple and plain, but under careful examination, the jade pearl was bright to the point where it practically wasn’t like jade.

This jade pearl perhaps wasn’t worth as much as the string of buddhist beads in her hand, but something that came from Grandmaster Liao Chen, without a doubt, if taken outside, would be a treasure that others would fight over.

After getting on the horse carriage, Jing Wan could no longer hold back, “What does Grandmaster Liao Chen mean with this?”

“Didn’t that old monk say that you have fate with their buddha? Since that’s the case, him giving you a bit of something is very normal.” Li Hong Yuan said with a particularly dark and heavy expression.

Jing Wan let out a laugh. When Grandmaster Liao Chen said those words just now, a certain someone instantly had a look of wanting to kill someone, yet because the situation was different from usual, he forcibly endured his anger. That image, recalling now, truly was quite amusing. If not for knowing that someone like Grandmaster Liao Chen wasn’t really the type to mess with people, one would even think that Grandmaster Liao Chen was deliberately provoking him. When Jing Wan first heard, she also blanked, but very quickly just understood. The so called ‘fate’ was also divided into many different kinds. If Jing Wan had fate with buddhism to the point of leaving the home to become a nun, then Grandmaster Liao Chen instead wouldn’t have said those words. “Since Ah Yuan is unhappy, why still let me accept them?”

Li Hong Yuan coldly swept her a glance, not saying a word.

Jing Wan knew, even if her husband understood what it meant inside, he was still really angry, so it was just quickly smoothing the fur. Kissing and hugging, after a good while, she finally had the fur smoothed out.

However, this matter also just past by like that. Jing Wan roughly knew that this perhaps was something else that can’t be told to her. One or two things, Jing Wan didn’t feel it was anything, but when there was a slightly bit more, she seemingly still felt a tiny bit unhappy. However, as long as it wasn’t related to concubines and mistresses, Jing Wan felt that she can be a bit more lenient.

Li Hong Yuan returning that quickly naturally made people shocked. Others had no authority to question, but Le Cheng Emperor’s curiosity nevertheless was able to be satisfied, having his son summoned before him. He had wanted to leave the capital that strongly, yet returned in less than a day?

“Tell this emperor, what exactly happened?”

Li Hong Yuan was expressionless, “What else can there be, too cold, and that place didn’t have anything, so naturally just returned.”

It really was an incomparably willful, yet also an incomparably strong excuse. Le Cheng Emperor just wanted to facepalm, “Your birth mother………..”

“The things that need to be taken care of all taken care of.”

Le Cheng Emperor nodded, “Fine, return to your manor and stay shut in for a few days.” After all, this son went to the White Dragon Temple under the purpose of praying for his good fortune, so can it be this quick? If he doesn’t slightly discipline, where would this old face of his go? Of course, even if everyone all knew this was just an excuse, this act still needed to continue.

This precisely matched Li Hong Yuan’s intentions. He can use this time to arrange some things.

Of course, even if it’s ‘shutting the doors to reflect’, Li Hong Yuan won’t let his guard down towards a certain few that were still in the capital either.

The days persisted with this and that kind of banquets, regardless whether it was roping in the relations, or exchanging interest. In any case, it was just making the most out of this last bit of time. As for certain quick and brief ‘information exchange’, even just swiftly brushing past, it could further be found everywhere.

Through these days, the various countries’ emissaries, regardless whether it was having achieved their goal, or gaining nothing at all, all began leaving Qi Yuan’s capital in succession. Le Cheng Emperor was also ‘generous’, for the most part, giving every county a generous gift accordingly. Of course, whether or not these gifts will satisfy them, that was just a separate matter. For instance, wanting to obtain books on crafts and agriculture, yet were given a pile of storybooks and whatnot………………

Similar cases were too numerous to count, and these were all the Head Minister of Appointments, who was concurrently holding the post of the Head Minister of Rites, Luo Pei Shan’s handiwork. This move made many people look to Luo Pei Shan with admiration in their eyes. En, the Head Minister of Appointments, if able to not offend, it was best to not offend. Even Le Cheng Emperor looked to Sir Luo with a ‘dumbfounded’ expression for a long while, afterwards very much complicatedly praised a line of ‘good job’. That was genuinely feeling it was good, but the feeling was complicated. After all, it was still him, this boss of Qi Yuan, that shouldered the pot. In those emissaries’ hearts, Le Cheng Emperor already got pinned with labels such as devious and cunning.

Sir Luo stroked his beard, smiling without a word. Can he say, these were all his precious granddaughter’s idea?

According to his own granddaughter’s meaning, the great majority all weren’t their country’s vassal state. Bringing that bit of gifts, could it be that they still want to return with mountains of gold and silver? To still want to ‘wishfully’ have the crafts and skills taken back? How big is their face?

As long as it was enough generous on the surface, it was more than enough!

  1. I can’t wait to see Wan Wan’s idea come to fruition. I can’t even think what the outline might be. I’m happy that LHY who never cared about his mother now realizes just how important she is and is having real feelings for her. I picture his small boy form excited and searching for his mama with anticipation.

    1. I didn’t understand anything in this chapter. This kind of old-style English is very hard to follow. It’s like a riddle. What exactly was her idea?

      1. That’s because it was mentioned in the previous chapter. It was stated quite straightforwardly in the second to last line in chapter 435, everything in this chapter is a follow-up to that line: “To have the Imperial Noble Consort DEIFIED” You have to read the previous chapter to understand this chapter. The first paragraph in this chapter is a response to how throughout history a lot of people have tried to create ‘miracles’ to deify someone, basically claiming that so and so is a goddess or immortal from heaven that came down to the mortal world.
