Throw Out the Troubles (1)

Ruan Old Madam probably would’ve never thought that the enemy hidden in the dark, not only injured her daughter, while under her thorough arrangements, but even let her personally witness the other party’s person have the altered medical ointment taken out, and then even have her personally apply the medicine on her daughter’s face. If she were to know all of this, don’t know what kind of reaction it will be.
After returning to the Luo Manor, Jing Wan actually felt much more relaxed, no need to continue pretending to be sick. For a usually always healthy baby like her, letting her pretend to be sick truly was an enormous challenge. And her most painful experience was probably just that period of time when entering the capital, getting carriage sickness. There was nothing more miserable than this.
After Jing Wan’s vigor returned, she began contemplating on how she should take revenge. Truthfully speaking, her skills in this area was truly lacking. However, as the saying goes, getting forced into a corner, even a harmless rabbit would bite. Jing Wan believed, she at least can’t be less than a rabbit, right? However, implementing this matter was indeed not that simple. First, Ruan Fang Fei’s methods were too secretive, and her image towards the outside was too good. Even if one has her pointed out, one still can’t obtain any satisfying results. And most importantly, there was no evidence. This was also why she, as well as the two head elders of the Luo family, while clearly knowing this was Ruan Fang Fei’s scheme, similarly kept the matter a secret. Just, in this way, if she were to do something to Ruan Fang Fei, then she will sink down to becoming the evil person, getting criticized by others. And to want to accomplish a perfect crime, not wanting to get discovered by people, then this required the right time, the right place, and the right ‘human’ conditions.
Such an opportunity, when you don’t have the ability to create, you will just have to patiently wait for, and further need to prepare in advance.
Jing Wan somewhat melancholically lifted her head to look at the skies. Scheming against someone under the same roof was already very taxing, and scheming against someone in another family’s rear court was further an enormous task. She very much wanted to ask Ruan Fang Fei, for the sake of scheming against her(JW), just how much effort did she spend? Was she tired? Was it worth it?
Jing Wan thought about it again. Since she’s already determined that Ruan Fang Fei was the kind of person with a twisted personality, then for that kind of person, perhaps as long as they can achieve their goal, no matter how much they do, they would probably feel it was all worth it. Furthermore, it was just scheming against Jing Wan, and after succeeding, it’ll also implicate the entire Luo family. This additional achievement was practically too rich. That’s why, how can it not be worth it. Unfortunately, the scheme didn’t succeed, so most likely it’ll drive her even more insane.
Seeing Jing Wan’s expression, Gong mama for the most part just knew what Jing Wan was thinking, “Miss, that Ruan Fang Fei, on the way back to the manor, got her carriage overturned and knocked unconscious, and her face also suffered injuries as well.” Even the ‘heavens’ were all helping you take revenge, so the matters on that side, you don’t need to bother with.
Jing Wan blanked, and shortly after, faintly said, “Didn’t die huh.”
This time, it was Gong mama’s turn to be surprised. Even someone like Luo Jing Ying, miss has never thought of wanting the other party to die. In fact, she didn’t even have that big of a grudge against her either. Although miss said, hating a person also required feelings, majority of the times, she just ignored the other party. To be able to make Jing Wan want the other party dead, Ruan Fang Fei was definitely the first one. It can be seen, this time, Ruan Fang Fei must have really stepped on miss’s ‘reverse dragon scale’[1]. Yes, miss has always cared about her family very much, even more than herself. Of course, the family in miss’s eyes, afraid isn’t everyone in the Luo family, but just those few. Miss’s heart was both soft and cold. Her heart can harbor the entire world, yet can also be small to the point where she only cared about a few people. Feelings go two-ways, and she had this bit achieved to the max. But, once someone obtains her sincere and heartfelt treatment, they will probably feel they are the happiest person in the world.
Miss wants Ruan Fang Fei to die, and in reality, when wangye is truly determined to kill someone, it actually wasn’t that difficult of a task. What needed to be looked at was just the price one was willing to pay to achieve this, as well as the consequence brought about by it. “Miss, if under the circumstances of where it completely won’t affect you, do you want to let her directly die, or suffer before dying?”
Jing Wan looked towards Gong mama. Although Gong mama still had an upright and solemn look, Jing Wan felt this question of hers was very strange. Under normal circumstances, one probably won’t ask this, right? However, towards this question, Jing Wan’s answer was still very clear-cut, “For someone with such malicious thoughts, just randomly dying, wouldn’t that be too convenient for them? Based on how meticulous and adept her skills are in handling things, and also her ability to have others targeted like a prey for no rhyme or reason, I’m definitely not the first one. For the people that have been harmed by her, just letting her atone for her sins with death would be too unsatisfying.”
Gong mama nodded, understood. It seems wangye’s plan also won’t easily take Ruan Fang Fei’s life. For miss’s thoughts to be able to not conflict with his plans, it was also not bad.
From beginning to end, Jing Wan has always felt, this kind of twisted personality, for the most part, wasn’t likely to be inborn. Alright, on this bit, she also can’t be a hundred percent certain. However, even if there were naturally born ‘perverts’, the number should still be very little. Moreover, Ruan Rui Zhong was at the center of the country’s centralized power. The possibility of not revealing one’s true nature in the slightest, indefinitely approached zero. Then, the cause of Ruan Fang Fei’s disposition was most likely her own mother. “Mama, what do you know about the Head Cabinet Minister’s madam?”
“Ruan Old Madam?”
When Jing Wan heard this address from Gong mama, she immediately just 囧. It’s not that she’s never seen that one before, but Ruan Old Madam really looked very young, yet in the end, she was actually an old madam rank? Alright, alright, who let Ruan Rui Zhong’s ranking in the family hierarchy be that high. By marrying him, she was probably just an old madam from the start. Although she didn’t need to play the young madam to madam to old madam, this kind of promotion game, but for a young woman, probably no one would be willing to walk to the end in one step. Facing ‘daughter-in-laws’ that were much older than oneself, and hearing them address you as old madam, Jing Wan actually very much wanted to ask how big was the shadow in Ruan Old Madam’s heart. However, regardless of what she was thinking, to be able to not reveal a single word in the slightest, Jing Wan quietly lit a row of candles for her in her heart.
(T/N: This character emoji 囧 is a feeling so easy to understand just by looking at it, but so hard to describe with words.)
“…..Everyone all say, she’s the number one virtuous person in the entire capital.” Gong mama had everything that was publicly known roughly narrated for Jing Wan. Of course, right now, she was also very certain, afraid this was the same as her daughter, all fake. That’s right, Gong mama didn’t know Ruan Fang Fei’s actual situation, so naturally didn’t understand her mother’s actual situation either.

After hearing Gong mama’s words, Jing Wan’s first reaction was just: ‘The same as Ruan Fang Fei, perfect to the point of unreal.’ This kind of person, nine out of ten had problems. Thus, Jing Wan eliminated the tiny possibility of Ruan Fang Fei being a ‘natural-born pervert’.
However, for a short period of time, Ruan Fang Fei probably won’t have time to come out and cause trouble. At the same time, this also meant that she won’t be able to retaliate back any time soon. If one can’t even see the person, then everything else naturally didn’t need to be mentioned.
That’s why, taking revenge and whatnot, if the enemy doesn’t appear, then no matter how much one contemplated, it was all pointless. Jing Wan wouldn’t go as far as to let someone she hated influence her own life. Ruan Fang Fei forever won’t be important to that degree.
[1] This last appeared in the way early chapters lol. It just means her sensitive spot, like a landmine sorta.

It felt so good to read “have her personally apply the medicine on her daughter’s face.” The fact that she personally (although unknowingly) ruined her daughter’s face got me cackling under my breath 😁
Thanks for the chapter! 😘
I’m starting to wonder if RFF’s mother had the previous Ruan Old Madam killed so she could take that place. Because a woman like that would feel nothing killing a fiance she didn’t approve of.
When I first saw the character “jiong” in a c-novel, I couldn’t really understand it. Later on I realized it’s an expression more or less similar to when my Japanese friends say “eee?” or “maji?” 😁
Lmao tbh it’s pretty much this emoji 😩
Sounds like RFF’s “accident” is not known to other people. Once Wan Wan hear about it, would she also conclude that it is LHY’s revenge on her behalf and perhaps let her have a better impression of him or worst ….. made her terrified of him? ha ha ha
“No less than a rabbit, right?” – My motto on a daily basis. LOL
Husbando already got revenge for you, Jing Wan. Better reward him good. 😏😂
