Li Hong Yuan naturally understood Jing Wan’s meaning, so how could he not sense the change in Jing Wan’s mood. After all, she wasn’t like them, her mood not that easily concealed. His darling’s possessiveness towards him was becoming increasingly stronger. This was a good sign. However, he didn’t do anything to let her down, yet she wanted to take his life. That won’t do.

“They’re imperial princes. Without the in-law family holding back, then naturally, whatever they do, it was all rightfully so. Just a few playthings, that’s all. How could it make them have misgivings? Even if brought before imperial father, one would probably even get reprimanded for making a fuss out of nothing and not having bearing.”

“That’s why, wangye is also this unbridled.” Jing Wan faintly spoke, actually possessing a chilliness that even she herself didn’t detect.

“How they are, has nothing to do with me. What’s related to me is just you alone. I won’t…………..”

Jing Wan covered his mouth at once, “The cruelest thing is nothing more than giving a promise, giving hope, then ruthlessly crushing with one’s own hands. How many promises of undying love can withstand the passage of time? To be able to have a few years is already pretty good.”

Li Hong Yuan didn’t say anything either, directly having Jing Wan pressed into his embrace, kissing her.

This was still in the yard, not only having the personal servants, but also the other servants of the manor. To immediately just start making out like this, was this proper, was this proper!? In any case, Li Hong Yuan won’t care whether it was proper or not, and Jing Wan this while also didn’t bother with the others either. Right now, her mood was a bit abnormal, so rules and whatnot were all tossed to the back of her mind.

Encountering this kind of master, the most awkward were still the people by their side, all hastily hiding far away.

Because of Jing Wan’s response, Li Hong Yuan directly got stirred up inside, directly having Jing Wan picked up, directly returning to the main courtyard, and directly entering the bedroom. The people that were originally left in the main courtyard were greatly startled, quickly retreating out.

Falling into lust during the daytime, speaking of which, wasn’t something they’ve never done before either. During their first intimate interaction, wasn’t it precisely in broad daylight.

Jing Wan this while also didn’t have any misgivings.

The two of them overturned the heavens in the room, seemingly having the important matter cleanly forgotten, giving the still unconscious Luo Jing Ying two seconds of silence.

Liu-shi secretly came to Jin Qinwang Manor. Unfortunately, Jing Wan and Li Hong Yuan still haven’t come out from the room, and the servants also all played dead, not daring to go disturb them, just saying that wangfei this while is unable to meet people.

Liu-shi right now, her entire heart was hung up on Luo Jing Ying, so she didn’t think too deeply either.

By the time Jing Wan came out from the bath, learning that Liu-shi was in the manor, the awkwardness finally kicked in. And the result of her anger out of embarrassment was just Li Hong Yuan’s waist suffering a calamity, getting pinched several times by Jing Wan. However, the muscles on Li Hong Yuan’s body were very firm and solid, unable to be wrung, so getting pinched a few times also didn’t have too great of a feeling. Grasping Jing Wan’s hand, his gaze was deep, “Good darling, don’t tempt me.”

Jing Wan viciously shot him a glare. Actually, she was further angry at herself for failing to live up to expectations, getting led even more shameless by him. Truthfully speaking, to still be able to do this kind of thing at this time, Jing Wan was all about to suspect whether or not she’d lost her mind. She went to go see Liu-shi. Fortunately, Liu-shi didn’t ask anything, and also didn’t have that mind to look over Jing Wan.

“Third aunt, the manor doctor and imperial physician both examined. Fourth sister temporarily won’t have any problems. Just, if unable to wake up for a long time, afraid her life will be in danger. Actually, it’s still mainly because she’s unwilling to wake up.”

Liu-shi looked to Luo Jing Ying with reddened eyes, listening to Jing Wan’s words. A moment later, she finally reacted, and afterwards, her tears just tumbled down like a broken pearl necklace, “It’s all my fault, all my fault……….” Liu-shi incoherently sobbed, crying for a long time before slowly stopping. “I was wrong, she should blame me, I had her raised this way, yet in the end, abandoned her.”

Because the person sent back to Luo family was Bai Shao, everything that happened before and after Luo Jing Ying attempted suicide were all explained clearly one by one.

If not for Luo Jing Ying thinking of a way to come out of Rui Qinwang Manor, afterwards committing suicide in front of Jing Wan, then naturally there won’t be the latter matters, and perhaps Liu-shi will still continue to ignore her. Humans were precisely this sinful, if not in the last moment, then just won’t be moved. Jing Wan felt, she similarly can’t escape from this bit.

Coming to this step today, regardless of who was right and who was wrong, there was all no need to continue looking into. The most important thing was letting Luo Jing Ying wake up. “Third aunt can talk with her more. As long as she has the will to live, then this trial, she’ll be able to pass.”

“Thank you, third girl, thank you.” Liu-shi was genuinely and sincerely expressing her thanks. She was very clear, if not for Jing Wan, this daughter of hers, perhaps would already be gone. Moreover, she would further be unable to even see one last time. “In the past, it was all my fault, I was wrong…………”

“Saying these now, there’s no meaning. What has passed, just let it pass.” It’s not that Jing Wan was such and such magnanimous, but rather those things in the past, really didn’t bring about any effect towards her. They were mainly still targeted towards her mother, and her mother, that ‘sweet naive idiot’, was always extremely lucky every time, having someone help her solve the dilemma, and then later, just forgetting about it, not leaving behind the slightest shadow in her heart.

“You’re just kindhearted, how are others able to accomplish.”

Jing Wan smiled and didn’t speak. Kindhearted and whatnot, she didn’t feel this to be the case. Calling someone to go have the concubine releasing letter fetched over, handing it over to Liu-shi, “This, it’s best for third aunt to hold on to.”

Liu-shi naturally knew what it was. Although she didn’t know the process in which the concubine releasing letter was obtained, presumably it wasn’t easy. After all, the other party was an imperial prince, a qinwang. Even from ordinary families, it all wasn’t easy to obtain a concubine releasing letter. One has to know, unless the female’s maiden family was more powerful than the male’s side and moreover, it was absolutely the male side’s fault, asking, which family would have their daughter given to someone inferior to their family as a concubine? Unless it was the female side’s family suddenly becoming powerful. That’s why, this concubine releasing letter truly was too few, and ones written by a qinwang, probably just this one in all of history.

Liu-shi somewhat tremblingly had the concubine releasing letter accepted, looking it over, and afterwards, carefully storing away.

“Does third aunt want to have fourth sister taken back, or let her recuperate in the qinwang manor?”

“I want to personally look after her, just this doctor………..” Liu-shi, as the aunt, really wasn’t suited to stay as a guest in the qinwang manor.

“Wangye has separately found another doctor, however the person isn’t in the capital, still need two more days. Third aunt wanting to have fourth sister taken back isn’t undoable either. When time comes, just directly let the doctor go to the Luo Manor.”

“Thank you third girl, really…………..”

Liu-shi took Luo Jing Ying back to the Luo family. This matter, naturally not that many people knew about. As for how it will be handled in the end, still need for the two elders of the Luo family, as well as Jin Qinwang, to determine. Of course, this kind of thing, Li Hong Yuan won’t care about and will definitely do whatever Jing Wan says. And obviously, Jing Wan also won’t interfere in this matter either.

At night, “Wan Wan, tomorrow, Noble Consort Su might summon you into the palace. When time comes, judging on the situation, just take care of it however it should be taken care of, no need to wrong yourself. Since she didn’t summon you into the palace today, then it’s just leaving a buffer period. Then, nine times out of ten, it’s wanting to look for your grandfather to ask for ‘benefits’. As such, you naturally don’t need to be polite with her. Whatever the case, your grandfather and I will take care of it.”

Jing Wan nodded, “Don’t worry, I know what to do.” After confirming this marriage with Li Hong Yuan, she’d already made mental preparations to ‘battle’, learning quite a few things from Gong mama.

“I naturally believe you. Once this matter is over, let’s go stay at the estate for a period of time.”

Jing Wan’s eyes slightly lit up, “Alright.” During this kind of time, going to stay at the estate couldn’t be more pleasing.

Li Hong Yuan lightly smiled, hugging Jing Wan, his gaze gentle. He felt the present was also pretty good, but the things he should fight for, he still needed to fight for. Without power, he simply was just unable to ensure this tranquility. Without power, he also can’t shield her for her whole life.

Shortly after, these things were all thrown aside. The husband and wife pair just nestled together for some idle reading, occasionally whispering a few words, their heads rubbing together, an indescribable warmth.

Li Hong Yuan’s people all sighed. As expected, it was good that wangfei married in. They as the little demons, without the living Enma’s strong pressure, seemingly lived very much at ease these last few days. However, there were similarly also those that were a bit worried, just fearing that their master will become intoxicated by the gentle nest, ‘henceforth the ruler not attending morning court’. However, it was obvious, they’d thought too much. Once Jing Wan fell asleep, Li Hong Yuan got up and went to the study. He was still that living Enma that was like as if shrouded in dark currents when not speaking or smiling.

“Li Hong Ming is too idle, find for him some trouble.”

  1. I agree with your statement. I feel like Ying’er is her own worst enemy in the end. Now, on to the next scene *battle theme*

  2. Jen, I agree with you. People are never just “1+1=2” we are so complex… and things are never as black and white as we try to pretend they are…

As always, thanks for the translation ❤❤

  3. In the end, regardless of upbringing and circumstance, it’s the person’s base personality that make the difference. Two people can grow up in the exact same environment with the exact same treatment and turn out completely different. Had LJY been raised better, she likely would have known to use the carrot and stick method at least to keep her servants loyal and would ahve been able to deal with situations better, but it is what it is.

  4. LHY birth mother is always one of the most tragic characters to me. In another life if she didn’t catch the eye of Le Cheng Emperor I wonder if she could have been happy.

  5. Thank you for your translations (and very informative and educational notes)!!!
The note was very…..interesting. Hope you get some finger exercises after typing that, ahahah

  6. Your TNs really help give insight and reminders to things Jen, thanks for that. I’ve forgotten some stuff, but thanks to you, this novel gives more of an impact to me than any other novel out because of its intricate details sprinkled here and there.

So thanks for the chapter! 😘
