On the male guest side, as the previous participants, they were also all well aware. However, even if they know the truth, they still wouldn’t be so stupid as to say it out loud.

Speaking of which, previously, Jiang-fuma didn’t head over, but the Grand Elder Princess had sent someone to inform him of the whole matter. Someone like the Zhong Qinwang’s heir, he hated the most. As for Zhong Wangfei, because of the differences between male and female, he never interacted with her before, so her meeting with misfortune was whatever. Naturally, he wasn’t concerned in the least, and towards the Grand Elder Princess’s way of handling the matter, he completely didn’t have any objections.

“Today is rather lively, one wave yet to settle before another one rises.” Li Hong Yuan nonchalantly said. When he’d learned that Zhong Qinwang’s heir died, Li Hong Yuan wasn’t surprised in the least. This was precisely her usual style.

However, others all didn’t dare to reply to his words. Who knows whether or not he was angry at the moment. Even if he didn’t like Sun Yi Jia, she was still his fiancee after all. Getting carried out of the water by another man, any man would all mind, right? But who knows whether or not he viewed Sun Yi Jia the same as those women in the past. When having those beauties given away, how straightforward was he!

That’s why, it really was very difficult to determine, whether he cared or not.

“Ding Duke, when marrying off your daughter, don’t forget to invite this prince for a drink. For better or worse, she was still considered this prince’s seventh fiancee. The previous six all don’t have this good fortune. Perhaps, after drinking her wedding wine, next time, this prince will be able to drink one’s own wedding wine.” Li Hong Yuan’s voice didn’t carry the least bit of emotions. These words should be considered self-mocking, but it only made them feel rather chilly.

How should the Ding Duke reply to him? Yes or no?

Luo Pei Shan stroked his beard, “Wangye, if you don’t disdain, when the time comes, why not come to the Luo Manor for a cup of wedding wine.”

Li Hong Yuan clicked his tongue, “Still this old man that’s frank.”

Alright, since the one involved even admitted to it, then looks like there was no need to guess anymore.

However, from the looks of it, regarding the Ding Duke Manor and the Luo family’s marriage, there was no need for them to specifically ask for their opinion.

Also, with these two families tying the knot, would it mean that the Luo family is going to lean towards the Empress and Kang Qinwang side?

Such ‘big news’, under the manipulation of intentional people, also spread throughout the female guest side. Looking again to Sun Yi Jia, their gazes somewhat changed again. Rather, there was no lack of those busybodies, believing that because Sun Yi Jia didn’t want to marry Jin Qinwang, she deliberately acted out such a scene. As for why Luo third young master was chosen, wasn’t that her good friend’s older brother? He would certainly be able to accept her more easily, no?

Speaking of which, previously when she ruined her appearance and was ridiculed and pointed at by others, she all didn’t have any reaction, but this time, she was actually somewhat anxious. That’s why, this was precisely the difference between caring and not caring. Because she cared about Luo Jing Bo, she hoped that in his heart, she was a perfect girl, and not like the awful person from these people’s mouths.

Jing Wan lightly patted her lower back, “Don’t mind.”

Sun Yi Jia subconsciously relaxed a little.

Rather, it was that junzhu by Ruan Fang Fei’s side that let out a ‘pfft’ sound, “She sure is lucky. However, this way is good too, no one to compete with you, perhaps Jin Qinwang will just directly marry you, letting you become the wangfei. Oh wait, never mind, being the side consort is better. Jin Qinwang’s fate is truly too hard, what if you also get cursed? Although being a side consort is a little worst off in name, but you won’t be in danger of getting cursed, and you won’t need to worry about someone pressing on top your head either.”

This junzhu naturally didn’t notice, when she was saying these things, during the first half, Ruan Fang Fei was still smiling sincerely, but during the latter half, she was just like having a malevolent spirit condensed in the depths of her eyes, about to crawl out at any time to devour someone. “Whether it’s the main consort or the side consort, it all requires his Majesty’s decision.”

“Fang Fei, how about you also imitate that one?” Junzhu lean over by Ruan Fang Fei’s ear and looked to Sun Yi Jia.

The malevolent spirit in the bottom of Ruan Fang Fei’s eyes began to stir. She’d finally managed to get herself into the Jin Qinwang Manor with great difficulty, legitimately becoming the woman of the man she admired, let her give up, do you want to die? She gently opened her mouth, “I can’t. I can’t put my father in trouble. Besides, she’d injured her face after all. Jin Qinwang perhaps doesn’t care, thus was able to let go that easily, but I may not necessarily be able to.”

The junzhu nodded, not feeling that Ruan Fang Fei was narcissistic, but rather, feeling that her words were correct. She further didn’t notice that Ruan Fang Fei was indirectly saying that this matter was indeed Sun Yi Jia’s own handiwork.

———-To smoothly marry another won’t work.

(T/N: The ability to manipulate your words to control other people’s perception of reality is really scary.)

However, there were also those who felt that there was something off about this matter, for instance, Li Ru Yu. It seems what she’d encountered didn’t match with what was rumored. However, she was rather smart this time and didn’t stupidly say it out loud, instead leaning over and softly whispering it to her mother.

Cheng Jun-wangfei nearly collapsed in anger because of this daughter. To think she actually even did something like this behind her back!? “If you don’t want to die, then have this matter swallowed back into your stomach, and don’t mention it to anyone, not even a single word.”

“But mother, that slut……..”

“Still talking back! Right now, she has the Grand Elder Princess backing her. Besides, something that Li Hong Yuan asked for, you still dare to have delusions about? How many lives do you have?” This one-track minded daughter clearly had noticed something was wrong, but this focus could still be placed somewhere else, really…….

As soon as Li Hong Yuan’s name came out, Li Ru Yu was directly scared into shrinking back, not daring to make another sound.

“If that secret recipe really is that good, once it enters the palace, still worried it won’t leak out? You’ll have your share.”

“Really?” Li Ru Yu was pleasantly surprised.

Have to say, Cheng Jun-wangfei was also helpless. Because of this daughter, she was disliked everywhere. She clearly had the Ding Duke Manor and the Empress backing her, yet still was mistreated everywhere. Although Ru Yu was a little haughty, it still wasn’t as bad as this before. Just when exactly did she become increasingly unbearable? Seemingly after she started shouting about wanting to marry Lin boy? “In the future, don’t think about your big brother Lin anymore.”

“Mother, what are you saying?” Li Ru Yu’s voice abruptly shot up, making the people in the surrounding all look over.

Cheng Jun-wangfei hurriedly covered her mouth, and towards the onlookers’ discontent gaze, she could only harden her head and apologetically smile. “You and him have no hope, just give up. If you don’t want your junzhu position anymore, and want to let your father get stripped of his nobility title as well, then keep making noise. Once our family is ruined, you’ll probably be happy.”

Li Ru Yu blanked, why was it this serious? But looking at her mother, she didn’t seem to be lying either. “Mother, it’s not because of me right, not…….”

Cheng Jun-wangfei only glanced at her apathetically, and didn’t say anything.

Li Ru Yu finally knew to be scared. She has an Empress maternal aunt, that’s why she was promoted to a junzhu[1]. If she loses her status, then she’ll be the same as those lowly sluts, no, she definitely didn’t want this…………

This time, the Grand Elder Princess returned very shortly. Seeing that nonstop heaving chest of hers, they just knew she was quite angered.

“Yu Yao, what about your game, continue.” The Grand Elder Princess coldly spoke.

Fine, as the birthday star, encountering such an unlucky matter, the Grand Elder Princess not wanting to disperse like this was also understandable. Each and every all shut their mouths, no longer gossiping these ‘depressing matters’.

The Grand Elder Princess directly drew a wooden plaque, flipping it over for a look———Luo third miss. She finally let out a bit of smile, “Oh, it’s you again, do you still want to perform?”

“Grand Elder Princess, this subject has a suggestion, why don’t you have a listen?”

“If you have any good ideas, just say it out loud, work up the mood and get rid of the bad luck.”

“With only our side playing around, just to let them see a joke,” Jing Wan glanced towards the male guest side, “Really unfair. Should also let them embarrass themselves, and let us also be amused.”

[1] Only the daughter of a qinwang is given the title of junzhu by default. Li Ru Yu’s father is only a junwang (second-ranked wang) so her default title was suppose to be xianzhu, but because her aunt is the Empress she is specially promoted to a junzhu position.

  1. Hi,

This is first time that I leave an online comment. The work you do is really commendable and the way you add pictures, videos really shows how passionate and how dedicated you are. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

  2. I’m liking Jing Wan more and more, if that is even possible. Love her mischievous side ^^ and love the punishments shown in the teaser 😂 also since i didnt comment last chap, thx a lot for all the research in the historical background so you can give us such informative footnotes ^^
    Thanks for the chapters!😘

  3. Wait… I get RFF wanting to ruin SYJ so SYJ won’t enter LHY’s household (not that LHY was fighting the idea of making SYJ enter his household too much), but RFF also had the Zhong Wang’s heir killed? Yikes.

Are titles hereditary? Like any daughters of imperial princesses or princes will automatically get the princess title or will they have to get conferred? How about the sons of a princes or princesses? I’m confused with their system.

    Thanks for the chapter, @Jen!

    1. There’s actually a lot more secrets about RFF not revealed yet ohhohoooo

I think for daughters it’s automatic, since it’s not like they will inherit anything, so in one family there can be multiple junzhus, xianzhus, wenzhus, etc. These titles aren’t really in the same sense as how nobility titles are, it’s really just a way to show they are related to imperial family. Only case for them to be conferred would be like with LRY, getting a promotion in status, other than that it’s usually given at birth. I don’t think there’s a title for sons of princesses, since males usually follow their father’s line. The title system differs from dynasty to dynasty so I’m not 100% clear either ;;v;;)

        1. Ya, since usually an imperial prince has a wang title, but only the heir gets the title, since there’s only one. Tho in this novel they have a very specific inheritance system, I think it’s explained in a later chapter….I can’t remember where my footnotes are anymore ;;;v;;;) But basically for nobility titles they inherit one level lower than their father, so qinwang > junwang > duke > marquis and so on, of course the Emperor can always make exceptions and promote them as well.

Sons of princesses usually don’t get any title from mother side, but if their father has a title they can inherit, but this novel has the weirdest law of not allowing fumas to participate in politics soooo lmaoo. Historically most princesses married within nobility so their husbands were usually dukes or marquises.

    2. I feel like people are always forcing Jing wan to give her good stuffs away. Why the heck does she have to?
      Thank you for the update
