Also if Ruan Eldest Madam hadn’t been so viciously against Ruan Old Madam and RFF, this chapter would have mightily confused me.
It was subtly hinted in the chapter where LHY talks about the Ruan family ending up having the whole clan executed that Wei-shi is a spy from an enemy country because of certain letters that were found. But LHY believed she probably faked her death and escaped in the past life. So either way sheβs a wanted criminal.
